GridGain® Cloud (Beta) is a distributed in-memory data caching solution that makes starting and managing an in-memory data cache fast and easy. As a developer or SQL expert, you can deploy a GridGain cache cluster as a service with a few clicks, quickly load data, and then monitor and manage GridGain from a central console. The GridGain Cloud is a PaaS solution that delivers the capabilities of common cloud caching solutions but with a powerful SQL API for ease of use.
With GridGain Cloud, it’s easy to create, read, update and delete data from anywhere using SQL or key-value pairs via:
- A Web console with interactive SQL
- A REST API (SQL and key-value)
- JDBC (SQL)
- ODBC (SQL)
- Apache Ignite or GridGain thin clients for different languages
You can start a free demo cluster as part of the GridGain Cloud Beta.
GridGain Cloud vs. GridGain In-Memory Computing Platform
GridGain Cloud is for different uses cases and has a more limited feature set than the GridGain in-memory computing platform. The GridGain Cloud is for data caching use cases where performance and ease of deployment and management are of primary importance.
The GridGain in-memory computing platform has a comprehensive feature set which includes an in-memory data grid, in-memory database, streaming analytics, and artificial intelligence within a continuous learning framework. The GridGain in-memory computing platform, built on Apache® Ignite™, supports distributed ANSI-99 SQL and ACID transactions plus offers advanced security, manageability, and Spark, Cassandra and Hadoop native integrations. GridGain also supports unlimited horizontal scalability across any combination of cloud and on-premises environments and any number of clusters across those environments. Additional key features that support hybrid cloud environments include automatic discovery of new server nodes across multiple clouds and clusters, data replication across multiple clouds and data centers with real-time visibility anywhere in the world, and data collocation to optimize performance and minimize network traffic. The GridGain in-memory computing platform is available on the Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure Marketplaces.
