FOSTER CITY, Calif. April 6, 2015 – GridGain™ Systems (www.GridGain.com), GridGain Systems, the leading innovator behind open source and commercial in-memory data fabric solutions that accelerate business operations and time to insights for the enterprise and in the cloud, announced today that the company’s founder and CTO, Nikita Ivanov, and its co-founder and EVP of Engineering, Dmitriy Setrakyan, will speak at ApacheCon North America next week. The two executives will also lead a hands-on training day at the event, which is being held at the Hyatt Austin in Austin, Texas April 13-17, 2015.
ApacheCon brings together the open source community to learn about and collaborate on the technologies and projects driving the future of open source, big data and cloud computing. Apache projects have been and continue to be hugely influential in the innovation and development of software development across a plethora of categories from content, databases and servers, to big data, cloud and mobile. The developers, programmers, committers and users driving this innovation and utilizing these tools will meet at ApacheCon for collaboration, education and community building.
PRESENTATIONS
On Tuesday, April 14th at 9:35 am Central time, GridGain Founder and Ignite PMC Member Nikita Ivanov will present the keynote entitled “Introducing Apache Ignite™ (incubating).” In this keynote session, he will highlight Apache Ignite™, the first open source, in-memory data fabric designed to add speed and scale to real-time analytics, high-volume transactions and hybrid data processing. Apache Ignite works with new or existing applications and data stores, including SQL, NoSQL and Hadoop.
Also at the event on Tuesday, April 14th at 4:20 pm Central time, GridGain co-founder and Ignite PMC Chair Dmitriy Setrakyan will present a session entitled “Apache Ignite (incubating): Anatomy of an In-Memory Data Fabric.” In this session, Setrakyan will describe the strategy and architecture behind Apache Ignite™ (incubating), a high-performance, distributed in-memory data management software layer that has been designed to operate between both new and existing data sources and applications, boosting application performance and scale by orders of magnitude. He will dive into the technical details of distributed clusters and compute grids as well as distributed data grids, and provide code samples for each.
Together Ivanov and Setrakyan will deliver a full-length Ignite Training day on Wednesday, April 15th from 9:00 am to 3:15 pm Central time. This training will take a deeper dive into the Apache Ignite In-Memory Data Fabric, covering installation, configuration, clustering, Data Grid functionality, streaming, Service Grid, continuous availability and more. Access to the Ignite Training is included with registration and those planning to attend should bring their laptops with the latest JDK installed (JDK 8 is preferred, JDK 7 is okay).
EXHIBITION
GridGain will also be exhibiting at ApacheCon (booth #5) in the Technology Showcase. In its booth, GridGain
will be providing attendees with information on Apache Ignite™ and GridGain In-Memory Data Fabric, giving
away t-shirts and holding a drawing for a Hubsan X4 drone.
