GridGain Announces Immediate Availability of Latest Releases of its Award-Winning In-Memory Data Fabric

Powered by Apache Ignite™ (incubating), GridGain Enterprise Edition v7.0 and GridGain Community Edition v1.0.1 Sport New Ease-of-Use and Automation Features Simplifying Fast Data Processing

AUSTIN, Texas – April 13, 2015 (ApacheCon) – Today, at ApacheCon North America, GridGain™ Systems (www.GridGain.com), the leading innovator behind open source and commercial in-memory data fabric solutions that accelerate business operations and time to insights for the enterprise and in the cloud, announced that two new releases of the award-winning GridGain In-Memory Data Fabric, built on Apache Ignite™ (incubating), are available for download immediately on the GridGain website.

The GridGain Enterprise Edition v7.0 Powered by Apache Ignite™ (incubating) was announced in February, and is a complete, enterprise-grade software solution for enabling high-volume transactions, real-time analytics and hybrid transactional-analytical processing in a single, highly scalable data access and processing layer. Through unified APIs, it offers ultimate speed and scale to new and existing applications (Java, .NET, C++, etc.) on-premises and in the cloud, and allows queries across diverse data stores containing structured, semi-structured and unstructured data (SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop). GridGain Enterprise Edition v7.0 includes new ease-of-use and automation features, including support for JCache (JSR-107), Auto-Loading of SQL Data and Dynamic Cache Creation, which help simplify the deployment of the software and the migration from legacy in-memory data grids. GridGain Enterprise Edition v7.0 also sports features such as datacenter replication, enterprise-grade security and rolling upgrades, boosting its resilience in mission-critical or large-scale production deployments, and is available to download now.

Also immediately available from the GridGain website is the new GridGain Community Edition v1.0.1 Powered by Apache Ignite™ (incubating). This open source release of the GridGain In-Memory Data Fabric is a binary convenience build of the recently released Apache Ignite™ (incubating) 1.0 code base; it includes optional LGPL dependencies and additional testing by GridGain.

"The GridGain In-Memory Data Fabric, unlike data grids or in-memory databases, offers a strategic approach to in-memory computing and reduces the cost and complexity of connecting large-scale data and applications from various sources with high speed and cloud scale," said Abe Kleinfeld, President and CEO of GridGain. "Now powered by Apache Ignite™, the leading open source In-Memory Data Fabric, and available as a Community Edition and a hardened Enterprise Edition, these innovative and proven software solutions from GridGain offer unheard-of data throughput, predictable latencies, and elastic scaling, allowing real-time businesses on-premises and in the cloud to unleash their competitive advantage by easily conquering today's Fast Data challenges."

ApacheCon Presentations
GridGain founder and CTO, Nikita Ivanov, and co-founder and EVP of Engineering, Dmitriy Setrakyan, will speak at ApacheCon North America at the Hyatt Austin in Austin, Texas April 13-17, 2015. The two executives will also lead a hands-on training day at the event.

Tuesday, April 14 at 9:35 am Central time
KEYNOTE: Introducing Apache Ignite™ (Incubating)
Nikita Ivanov, Co-founder GridGain and Ignite PMC Member
In this keynote session, he will highlight Apache Ignite™ (incubating), the first open source, in-memory data fabric designed to add speed and scale to real-time analytics, high-volume transactions and hybrid data processing. Apache Ignite™ (incubating) works with new or existing applications and data stores, including SQL, NoSQL and Hadoop. (Venue: Zilker 1 / 2)

Tuesday, April 14 at 4:20 pm Central time
Apache Ignite™ (Incubating): Anatomy of an In-Memory Data Fabric
Dmitriy Setrakyan, Co-Founder GridGain and Ignite PMC Chair
In this session, Setrakyan will describe the strategy and architecture behind Apache Ignite™ (incubating), a high-performance, distributed in-memory data management software layer that has been designed to operate between both new and existing data sources and applications, boosting application performance and scale by orders of magnitude. He will dive into the technical details of distributed clusters and compute grids as well as distributed data grids, and provide code samples for each. (Venue: Texas 1)

Wednesday, April 15, 9:00 am to 3:15 pm Central time
Ignite Training
Nikita Ivanov and Dmitriy Setrakyan
This training will take a deeper dive into the Apache Ignite™ In-Memory Data Fabric, covering installation, configuration, clustering, Data Grid functionality, streaming, Service Grid, continuous availability and more. Access to the Ignite Training is included with registration and those planning to attend should bring their laptops with the latest JDK installed (JDK 8 is preferred, JDK 7 is okay). (Venue: Hill Country Ballroom B/C)

ApacheCon Exhibition
GridGain will also be exhibiting at ApacheCon (booth #5) in the Technology Showcase. In its booth, GridGain will be providing attendees with information on Apache Ignite™ and GridGain In-Memory Data Fabric, giving away t-shirts and holding a drawing for a Hubsan X4 drone.

IN-MEMORY COMPUTING SUMMIT
GridGain recently announced its role as a producer and sponsor of the first-ever, industry-wide In-Memory Computing Summit being held June 29-30 at the W Hotel in San Francisco. IMC Summit 2015, supported by inaugural sponsors GridGain, MemSQL and SanDisk, is a multi-track conference aimed at uniting and educating In-Memory Computing experts, visionaries, decision makers, and developers in the areas of in-memory computing, Fast Data, IoT and HPC.
