GridGain Adds Seamless Cloud Integration to its Award-Winning In-Memory Data Fabric Powered by Apache Ignite™ (Incubating)

Latest Versions of GridGain Enterprise Edition and GridGain Community Edition Simplify Cluster Startup in the Cloud with Support for Google Compute Engine, Amazon EC2 and Apache JClouds

Foster City, California – May 28, 2015 – GridGain™ Systems (www.GridGain.com), the leading innovator behind open source and commercial in-memory data fabric solutions that accelerate business operations and time to insights for the enterprise and in the cloud, announced today two new releases of its award-winning In-Memory Data Fabric Powered by Apache Ignite™ (incubating), GridGain Enterprise Edition v7.06 and GridGain Community Edition v1.06. These latest releases, which are available for download immediately on the GridGain website, include new integration and resiliency features that help users simplify cloud integration and conveniently start up resilient Ignite Clusters.

The GridGain In-Memory Data Fabric Enterprise Edition is a proven, enterprise-grade in-memory data fabric that offers predictable, ultra-low latency at any scale, flexible horizontal and vertical scaling, configurable data consistency, high availability and enhanced security. Able to scale out or up, it is designed to run on commodity hardware on-premises or in the cloud. New in version 7.06 are the following features:

  • Native integration with Google Compute Engine and Amazon EC2: This enables enterprises to conveniently start up Ignite clusters using Google Cloud Storage or Amazon S3 as the underlying discovery mechanism, without having to worry about changing IP addresses or the lack of multicast support.

  • Apache JClouds integration: With integration for this open source multi-cloud toolkit for Java, users can start Ignite Clusters on any cloud provider integrated with Apache JClouds, such as OpenStack, RackSpace, HP Cloud and more.

These features are also available on the newly released GridGain Community Edition v1.06 Powered by Apache Ignite™ (incubating). This open source version of the GridGain In-Memory Data Fabric includes optional LGPL dependencies and additional testing by GridGain.

"In-memory computing is rapidly gaining attention because it completes processes in a fraction of the time it once took — it's a game changer in its ability to help data-driven businesses compete effectively," said Abe Kleinfeld, President and CEO of GridGain. "Driven by demand from customers, who are using the GridGain In-Memory Data Fabric to deliver business processes and analytics by way of real-time cloud services, we have simplified deployment and resiliency for these latest releases when integrating them with popular cloud solutions. Our customers will find that these enhancements will further simplify cluster creation in the cloud, so their focus can be on the application, not the underlying infrastructure."
