Apache Ignite Native Persistence Storage

Apache Ignite Native Persistence Storage

Join Virtual Apache Ignite Meetup on April 27.

Persistence in Apache Ignite enables you to consistently save all data to disk and, thus, enables you to survive a node restart. In this presentation, Anton Kalashnikov, without going into detail, talks about the architecture of native persistence and explains how the architecture’s components work. You learn about the following:

  • How the work with data is organized (paged memory model, B+ tree)
  • How data is stored on disks and what is meant by partitions in Ignite
  • How Ignite maintains stability and consistency (WAL, checkpoints)
  • How recovery works (recovery)

The presentation will be useful for Apache Ignite users and for novice Apache Ignite contributors.
