Bay Area In-Memory Computing Meetup

About

The "Bay Area In-Memory Computing Meetup" is back! Catch an intro to Apache® Ignite™ with GridGain solution architect Dani Traphagen! Think of it as "In-Memory Computing 101." When? Where? Tuesday, June 13 from 6:30-8:30 PM at Sophia University in Palo Alto, Calif.

About GridGain Talks

Intro to Apache® Ignite™ (a.k.a. "In-Memory Computing 101")

Apache® Ignite™ is an in-memory computing platform that delivers unprecedented speed and unlimited scale to modern data processing. It enables high-performance transactions, real-time streaming, and fast analytics in a single, comprehensive data access and processing layer.

Join GridGain solution architect Dani Traphagen (@dtrapezoid) as she introduces the many components of the open-source Apache Ignite and the use cases it is ideal for. Hope to see you there so you can leave ready to fire up your database deployments!

We are happy to relaunch the Bay Area In-Memory Computing Meetup! Be sure to come hungry because we'll have plenty of mouth-watering pizzas and refreshing beverages. We'll also be giving away limited-edition GridGain (built on Apache Ignite) t-shirts, stickers -- and a chance to win a Google Home and other goodies in our raffle!

Some background on Dani's talk: Memory-first architectures are paradigm shifting for database backends. They can enhance performance dramatically but also allow for horizontal scale-out on distributed relational architectures. Even more, they can be put in front of various file systems, or NoSQL databases. Apache Ignite provides a caching layer between applications and the system of record, but additionally, it provides a peer to peer architecture for transacting data, performing computations, microservices, streaming, and much more.
