Abe Kleinfeld
President & CEO

Abe Kleinfeld joined GridGain as president & CEO in 2013 and has transformed the company into the leading open source in-memory computing platform provider. Since joining GridGain, the company has averaged triple digit annual sales growth and raised $16M in Series B venture financing. The company is also known for founding and producing the annual In-Memory Computing Summit, the world’s first and only in-memory computing conference. 

Prior to joining GridGain, Abe was president & CEO of network security leader nCircle, a company he led from early stage with a handful of customers through ten consecutive years of revenue growth, five consecutive years of profitability, two acquisitions, over 6,500 enterprise customers worldwide and $40M in annual sales. In April, 2013, nCircle was acquired by Tripwire.

Before nCircle, Abe was president & CEO of Eloquent, a leading provider of rich media communications solutions. While at Eloquent he attracted an experienced management team, implemented a high-growth strategy and guided the company through its successful $83 million IPO in February 2000.

Prior to Eloquent, Abe co-founded document management leader Odesta Systems Corporation. He played a key role in building the company from startup in 1991 through its merger with Open Text Corporation in 1995 and subsequent IPO in 1996 (NASDAQ:OTEX), where he led the company’s sales and later marketing through 1998.

Abe’s career spans four decades, going back to his start as a software engineer at Raytheon Data Systems, and includes marketing and sales management roles at Wang Laboratories and business development at Oracle Corporation. Abe holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from State University of NY at Oswego, and is an avid photographer and science fiction fan.

Eoin O’Connor
CFO

Eoin O’Connor brings a diverse industry skillset to GridGain having successfully led various finance functions at large enterprises, including Oracle and Siebel Systems, as well as at early-stage startup companies. He began his career at KPMG and has spent many years in leadership roles across both finance and operations. In his most recent roles at Zuora and Space-Time Insight, he was instrumental in enabling rapid revenue growth in a very short time span. O’Connor brings added expertise when it comes to startup funding and financing. His rich experience in structuring, negotiating, documenting and closing deals led to Space-Time Insight’s raising more than $30 million in venture-backed funding.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce from University College Cork, Ireland, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Nikita Ivanov
Founder & CTO

Nikita Ivanov is founder and CTO of GridGain Systems, started in 2007 and funded by RTP Ventures and Almaz Capital. Nikita has led GridGain to develop advanced and distributed in-memory data processing technologies — the top in-memory data fabric starting two times per second every day around the world.

Nikita has over 20 years of experience in software application development, building HPC and middleware platforms, contributing to the efforts of other startups and notable companies including Adaptec, Visa and BEA Systems. Nikita was one of the pioneers in using Java technology for server side middleware development while working for one of Europe’s largest system integrators in 1996.

He is an active member of Java middleware community, contributor to the Java specification, and holds a Master’s degree in Electro Mechanics from Baltic State Technical University, Saint Petersburg, Russia.

Dmitriy Setrakyan
Founder & CPO

As a founder and Chief Product Officer at GridGain, Dmitriy Setrakyan is responsible for leading product development, professional services, and customer support operations. Dmitriy has been designing, architecting and developing software and applications for over 15 years and has expertise in the development of distributed computing systems, middleware platforms, financial trading systems, CRM applications and similar systems.

Prior to GridGain, Dmitriy worked at eBay where he was responsible for the architecture of performance sensitive high-traffic components of an add-serving system processing several billion hits a day. Before that Dmitriy served as a Lead Architect at Fitech Labs, focusing on high-performance software for trading systems, where he jump-started a new distributed caching and grid computing product line scaling out to 100s computers.

Dmitriy holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from University of California at Davis specializing in Networking and Algorithms.

Mark Mszanski
EVP of Sales

Mark Mszanski has more than 25 years of executive management experience in sales and operations at both startups and large-scale software companies. Mark specializes in recruiting, developing and leading geographically dispersed sales teams and developing highly effective go-to-market strategies. Prior to GridGain Systems, he was Vice President of Sales Financial Services and Eastern Region at Akana Software Inc., a leader in the API Management and Application Services Governance space that was purchased by Rogue Wave Software. At Akana, Mark transformed the sales organization for growth and quota attainment, securing Fortune 500 accounts. Before Akana, Mark was Vice President of Financial Services for Kony America’s Solutions Inc., where he built and managed a team focused on Financial Services in the U.S and Latin America. His sales team accounted for 50 percent of Kony’s total revenue. Prior to Kony, Mark held executive management positions at Evolven Software Inc., Hewlett Packard Company, DataSynapse Inc., BEA Systems, Inc., and more. Mark holds a BS degree in Business from Springfield College.

Terry Erisman
VP of Marketing

With over 25 years of technology marketing experience, Terry Erisman has initiated and driven high revenue growth for a multitude of award-winning companies in the SaaS, open source, and enterprise software sectors. Prior to joining GridGain, he was vice president of marketing for Citus Data, where he was responsible for worldwide marketing and established the first annual PGConf Silicon Valley Conference for the PostgreSQL community. Before Citus Data, Erisman was chief marketing officer at Percona, Inc. Erisman was also instrumental in helping Percona take over, manage, and grow the Percona Live MySQL Conference & Expo held in Silicon Valley, London, and New York. Prior to Percona, Erisman held executive management positions at DotNetNuke, Project Hosts, CaseCentral, Intevac and Atcor. Percona, DotNetNuke, and CaseCentral were all named to the Inc. 500/5000 list during his tenure.

He holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and an A.B. in Chemistry from Harvard University.
