In-Memory Computing Summit 2015 Publishes First Sessions After Oversubscribed Call for Presenters and Announces Call for Lightning Round Entries

Visionaries and Leaders to Present at Inaugural In-Memory Computing Event in San Francisco June 29-30

Foster City, California – May 6, 2015 – GridGain™ Systems (www.GridGain.com), the leading innovator behind open source and commercial in-memory data fabric solutions and producer of the first-ever, industry-wide In-Memory Computing Summit (IMC Summit), announced today the first sessions scheduled for the inaugural IMC Summit 2015 being held June 29-30 at the W Hotel in San Francisco. The 2015 agenda focuses on leading edge developments in the in-memory, high performance storage and Fast Data industry. It will include more than 25 sessions and speakers within two tracks: Business, dedicated to IT decision makers, and Developer.

"After finishing a much oversubscribed Call for Presenters (CFP), we are excited to see that the inaugural Summit has attracted some of the most brilliant minds in the industry to share their experience and offer guidance with respect to the fast growing use cases for in-memory computing," said Max Herrmann, GridGain Executive Vice President of Marketing and In-Memory Computing Summit Program Committee Member. "The attention that the Summit has gained is gratifying, to say the least, and we're pleased by the community support. The IMC Summit 2015 is the only industry event focusing on insights into current implementations as well as the future of in-memory computing, including technical deep dives and customer success stories that will educate and inspire rich discussions and fresh ideas."

The event starts with a keynote speech by Forrester Research Principal Analyst Mike Gualtieri, entitled, "The Velocity of Business Requires In-Memory Computing." In this presentation, Mr. Gualtieri will discuss the business, technology, and market trends that pushed in-memory from a nice-to-have to a must-have application development platform. John Webster, Forbes columnist and Evaluator Group Senior Partner, will present a closing keynote, "In-Memory Computing and the Emergence of Tier -1 Storage," focused on the new and even higher performance persistent data storage layer that is emerging and will enable broad adoption of the as yet unrealized power of real time computing.

Some of the esteemed track session speakers are:

  • Dr. William L. Bain, Founder and CEO, ScaleOut Software

  • DJ Das, Founder and CEO, Third Eye Consulting Services and Solutions

  • Dr. Konstantin Boudnik, VP Open Source Development, WANdisco and Member of the Apache Software Foundation

  • Eric Frenkiel, CEO & Co-Founder, MemSQL

  • Vladimir Giverts, Sr. Director of Software Engineering, Workday

  • Sam Lightstone, Distinguished Engineer and Chief Architect Cloud and Software Data Warehousing, IBM

  • Dmitriy Setrakyan, EVP Engineering, GridGain Systems, PPMC Member Apache Ignite™ (incubating)

"This event will be about creating an open dialog in the IMC community and talking about real-world challenges, technologies and solutions available now," said keynote speaker John Webster. "People want to hear success stories from their peers, and this is the perfect opportunity to open those lines of communication. I'm very excited about this maiden event and proud to be part of it."
