Talk 1: Val will explain how Apache Ignite™ simplifies development and improves
performance for Apache Spark™. He'll demonstrate how Apache Spark and Ignite are integrated, and how they are
used to together for analytics, stream processing and machine learning.
By the end of his
presentation you'll understand:
- How Apache Ignite’s native RDD and new native DataFrame APIs work
- How to use Ignite as an in-memory database and massively parallel processing (MPP) style collocated processing for preparing and managing data for Spark
- How to leverage Ignite to easily share state across Spark jobs using mutable RDDs and DataFrames
- How to leverage Ignite distributed SQL and advanced indexing in memory to improve SQL performance
Talk 2: Doug will provide examples of how customers have been using TimesTen Scaleout. The
business use cases, sample SQL, HA and transaction models and results will be covered.

3: Dave's talk -- When your web application suddenly explodes with 1000's of new users or your
microservices need a boost, there is no easier way to increase throughput and reduce latency than with Redis in
the cloud. These are just some of the reasons Redis has become one of the fastest growing databases and the most
popular database deployed in containers. In this talk, Dave Nielsen, Head of Ecosystem at Redis Labs, will share
the functions and data structures used by developers and sysadmins to solve common scalability challenges. Dave
will share use cases such as session management, custom analytics, leaderboard, etc.
