June 19 webinar: Native Persistence and Data Recovery best practices

Ignite Durable MemoryOn June 19, GridGain's Ivan Rakov will share best practices for implementing "Native Persistence" in production with Apache® Ignite™ and/or GridGain. His webinar begins at 10 a.m. Pacific and will be recorded. Register here to reserve your spot.

"Native Persistence" is used to store and index data transparently on non-volatile memory, SSD or disk. It's a distributed, ACID, and SQL-compliant disk store that transparently integrates with Apache Ignite's durable memory.

When persistence is enabled, memory becomes a cache for the most frequently used data and indexes. Native persistence is ACID-compliant, durable and enables immediate availability on a restart of each node. Data is never lost; GridGain supports full and incremental snapshots along with continuous archiving, and provides Point-in-Time recovery to an individual transaction.

Ivan is one of the senior engineers who developed native persistence, backup and Point-in-Time recovery.

His session will cover:

  • An architectural overview of native persistence, and centralized backup and recovery
  • Tips and tricks for configuring and managing persistence
  • Best practices for checkpointing, using the Write-Ahead Log (WAL) and restoring from a failure
  • Performance tuning recommendations to balance durability and performance, including how to create snapshots under load

Be sure to RSVP for this webinar. And please feel free to ask Ivan questions ahead of time below and I'll make sure he gets back to you.
