GridGain Webinar: Apache® Ignite™: What’s New in Version 2.0

About

Join GridGain Systems Product Manager Denis Magda as he introduces the newest features in Apache Ignite 2.0 including the dramatically improved memory architecture and enhanced SQL DDL support.

You will learn how the memory architecture of the Apache Ignite framework was reengineered to better support SSD or Flash-based persistence and SQL-based indexing. The new design uses a page-based approach with slab memory allocation, which may be optionally mapped to any persistent storage, without having to serialize or de-serialize the data. The new memory architecture has no issues with memory fragmentation, accelerates the SQL engine significantly, and helps applications tolerate Java garbage collection (GC) pauses much more efficiently.

We will also cover other key new features including:

  • Data Definition Language (DDL) support with the ability to create and alter SQL indexes in runtime using standard SQL syntax
  • Spring Data framework integration
  • Hibernate 5 support
  • Custom C++ code execution on remote Apache Ignite nodes

For current or new Ignite users, this webinar will help you understand the newest features in Apache Ignite 2.0, the world’s leading open source in-memory computing platform.
