DIRECTOR OF SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

GridGain Systems, Inc is looking for highly experienced individual to augment our inside sales and business
development programs. This is a 100% hands-on position with a direct impact on
revenue and strategy and ability to jump start new sales and business development initiatives.
Proven record in a startup environment and experience in open-source enterprise sales are required. If
you have Spring, JBoss, GigaSpaces, Terracotta, Mule, MySQL, or similar companies on your resume -
we want to talk to you!
Qualifications:
- Overall 10+ years of sales or business development experience
- Minimum 5 years of open-source enterprise and/or software middleware sales
- Prior technical background is highly desirable
- Ability to produce an immediate impact on revenue
- "Carry a bag" with a quota
- Clear understanding of Java-based software middleware market
- Excellent lead-generation abilities
- Being 100% individual contributor
- Experience in growing license, support, and PS sales
- An advanced technical degree is desirable
- Travel up to 30%

DISTRIBUTED MIDDLEWARE ARCHITECT

distributed middleware systems using Java and/or Scala. This is an extremely hands-on position with

- 15+ years of overall experience
- 5+ years in leading technical positions
- 100% hands-on individual developer
- Proven early stage startup experience
- Ability to work directly with CTO on critical areas of product functionality
- Expert knowledge of Java, Scala and Groovy
- Fluent in Unix/Win environment and system programming
- Guru-level proven experience in high performance computing
- Published work, speaking engagements are the major plus
- Expert knowledge in parallel and distributed programming
- Demonstrable experience in distributed middleware is a must
- Keen understanding of target market and fundamental of product marketing
- Ability to cross-function between sales, marketing and product development
- Some travel may be required - up to 10%
